Today I got to stop by the John Frieda tour happening at The Shops at Park Lane by North Park Mall. The masterminds behind John Frieda transformed a giant semi truck in roughly 6 hours to a swanky upbeat hair salon where no detail was left unturned. From the shiny chandelier to the plush white seats, this semi screamed luxury. When you walk up to the truck/salon, you get the celeb VIP treatment – red carpet, red ropes, and all. Being the star I am, I had to fight off the paparazzi and adoring fans just to get inside. Lol.
Once in the doors, I was kindly greeted by the receptionist that sign you in for your “hair appointment.” There are a total of seven hair transformation stations manned by the top John Frieda LA/NYC hair stylists. While waiting for my turn, I sat down at the Transformation Shade Selector table. At this table you answer a few questions on the touch screen to find a hair color product that best suits your hair’s needs. I personally have never colored my hair and was curious to see what would work for me. (I’ve been secretly debating if I should be daring and change my hair color.) Once it was my turn, I was introduced to Chris Megia from the LA salon. She asked me what my concerns were regarding my hair and what I wanted to achieve for an “everyday” look. I expressed to her that I just wanted to tame my crazy frizzy curls and hopefully get the effortless beach waves look. I also told her that I didn’t like the greasy oily feeling my hair gets whenever I use a frizz reducing hair product. Chris turned to her ipad and started creating my “John Frieda hair prescription” while carefully explaining in detail to me what each product will do and how to use it. After her transformation, I truly feel like I can replicate what all she told me to do. It was overall a fun experience that I hope you all will have an opportunity to check out when they come to a town near you.
